Hairstyles With Fringes at Bliss Hair in Loughborough & Nottingham

Are you looking for a new hairstyle but not confident enough to have your long locks cut into a short style?  Maybe your first step towards change should be a fringe!   Check out these fringe trends and then talk to your Bliss stylist about which style would best suit you.

Blunt and Bold Fringes

Fringe TrendsYou can really make a statement with a bold and blunt fringe. This hair trend is great for angular faces and slim faces as they tend to make your face look a little wider.  Add a gorgeous new hair colour and you’ll soon be turning heads!

One of the most daring statements is to add a micro fringe to your style.  Your fringe will be shorter than usual and can be either straight and blunt or a little choppy.  It’s an edgy look and looks best with straight hair and maybe a dynamic fashion colour such as a bold blue, bright pink or platinum blonde.

The image (left) shows an extreme fringe that has been cut quite far into the sides of the hair for a cool and edgy look.

The 1970s Fringe

Fringe TrendsThe trend for all things 1970s began in 2015 and continues into 2016.  Check out the High Street shops and you’ll see lots of suede, fringing and frilly clothing – just like we wore in the ‘70s.

When it comes to your hair, wear it in a relaxed, slightly wavy style and add a longer fringe with a flick at each end.

If you want to make a statement, try wearing your flicked fringe on straight hair for a change.

Short Micro Fringes

Fringe TrendsWith this look you should ask your stylist to cut you a fringe so that it is shaped and appears above your eyebrows.

For a change you can part your fringe in the middle and wear it with a little gap in the middle… just as though you’ve opened the curtains in the morning!

Quiffed Fringes

Fringe TrendsThanks to singer and actress Miley Cyrus, the quiff is now a fashionable hairstyle for the girls as well as the chaps!

This is a super cool hairstyle that is not for the faint-hearted!  You can form a quiff on a longer fringe by blow drying it in an upwards direction and fixing it into place with some hair product.

If your fringe is shorter, you could opt for a spiked fringe instead!  Whatever you decide, have fun and experiment with your fringe and hair for a new look every now and then.
