Hi Emile, Thanks again for today. The consultation was very helpful and helped me make my mind up to move forward with buying a system. I did want to mention a bit of an issue on my way out, though. Our appointment ran a little late starting—no big deal on my end—but the friend picking up one of your salon workers clearly wasn't a fan of waiting. He deliberately blocked my way out of the car park, accused me of holding the place up, and proceeded to call me a puff for visiting a salon. He then went on to rev his engine and play music loudly. Im not sure if one of your members of staff were messaging him directly whilst waiting. I know you can't police who comes to pick up your staff, but leaving a salon to that kind of reception isn't ideal, and it’s made me rethink things a bit. I figured I’d let you know so you can have a word with the team before their lift home gives another client a welcoming committee like that. They might want to re-think who their friends are..

Emilie is fantastic and so are all the staff at Bliss honestly but Ive mostly had Emilie for the 5 years I have been going. As someone who is quite nervous about having length chopped off I really appreciate that Emilie talks you through what she is doing and why as well as being honest with how much length I need off to keep it healthy, which it certainly has been since Ive been at Bliss. I am also always so impressed how quickly she can look and get the idea of the inspiration pictures then translate it to what it would mean for my hair - feels like magic to me. Overall, it is clear that she is highly skilled, a great place for alternative people and a friendly cool environment. If youre thinking about booking just do it! Thanks Emilie, see you soon!
Wonderful salon! I've been going here for a few years and wouldn't go anywhere else for my colour which was custom created for me by the fabulous Emilie as well lovely atmosphere, relaxing head massages and when Ben is around you also get to meet Beryl the dog what more could you want?

Bliss was the first hairdressers I started going to again after covid and a long haircut hiatus before that too - and I haven’t stopped coming back! Emelie is just wonderful - she always leaves me looking and feeling lovely. The atmosphere in the studio is so friendly - you’re always offered drinks and magazines etc. Emelie makes such great suggestions for products too, depending on the condition of my hair - but there’s never any pressure to buy anything either! Would thoroughly recommend Bliss, especially if you’re feeling anxious or you haven’t had a haircut in a while - they’ll make you feel right at home!

I went in yesterday to be a model for a trainee stylist and had the best experience! I felt so welcomed and comfortable the entire time. My stylist was lovely and so was the supervising stylist! I definitely don’t have the easiest hair to deal with, it’s very thick and naturally wavy and was so blocky after growing out a pixie cut for 8 months but i was soo happy with the end result! I still can’t believe I got such an amazing hair cut for free! I would definitely recommend this salon, especially on training days as they say they struggle to get models in for free haircuts. I will definitely be going back! 🥰

Emilie at Bliss Nottingham has been my hairdresser for almost 4 years. She’s incredibly professional, understands my likes and always gives a very thorough consultation and incredible haircut/colour! The salon is a lovely, clean and comfortable space, all staff members there are lovely and welcoming, and I always feel at ease during my appointments!

I had an incredible experience at bliss! As a young trans and gay person I felt instantly welcomed and comfortable by the friendly staff 🙂 Abbie did an amazing job at cutting and styling my hair, and did provided a really good consultation, helping me find the style that was right for me (rather than giving me a haircut that fits more with my biological sex, which is an issue i’ve had with other salons in the past) and there was no judgement at all. By far the best salon experience I have had, if you are part of the lgbtq+ community and are looking for a place that will listen to you, respect you and also give you a very cool haircut I would definitely recommend here!!💞

Emilie listened very carefully to my needs and CERTAINLY DELIVERED. Emilie has been doing my hair for some time now and every time it is perfect. She remembers exactly how I like my hair done, of course she always asks what I'd like doing with it and my answer is always the same as usual.
Had a colour consultation here and they really do provide a thorough and top quality service, unfortunately I haven't had chance to book in for my colour yet due to being busy but they dont pester you and they don't make you feel bad about it either.

Bliss is ASTOUNDING!✨ I arrived at Bliss with my embarrassingly patchy orange/green hair (a botch job I received from a salon elsewhere, that was meant to be a baby blue balayage) and left with beautifully vibrant galactic blue hair!! I felt myself again 💙 Emilie did such a stellar job to completely transform my hair and bring personality back into it - I cannot thank her enough!! Went to see the lovely hair goddess Emma at Bliss hair Nottingham. I had been to a different hair salon before who had basically buggered up my hair and I was really nervous about going to a another different salon. At first I had a consultation with Emma and we went through different options, Emma listen every step of the way even when I kept changing my mind and would keep sending her different pics on Instagram, she is very knowledgeable and put me at ease all the way. Emily at Bliss Hairdressers was absolutely brilliant with me. I was rather nervous about getting my long hair cut and had actually avoided it for over 7 years due to my nerves and some negative past experiences elsewhere. Emily really listened to my concerns and took on board exactly what I wanted doing and she even managed to make me feel relaxed! She took the time to talk through what she was doing and she was very gentle with me. She was also extremely careful of my new ear piercing being sure not to catch it at all. I left feeling extremely satisfied with my beautiful new haircut and my soft, shiny hair. What previously has been something very difficult for me, Emily managed to make into an enjoyable and relaxing experience. I couldn't recommend her and Bliss hairdressing enough! Always a warm welcome at the Loughborough Town Centre salon, and since reopening after lockdown the team have worked hard to keep everything as normal and friendly as possible despite all the face masks and new procedures. I always have a good cut here, in particular with Emilie who always has great suggestions when I'm not sure quite what I'm after! Of interest to those seeking non-mainstream hair styles and bold colours. Staff are super nice, helpful, and approachable. The laid back atmosphere and alternative aesthetic are warm and inviting. The town centre salon offers refreshments, space to hang coats, and head massages during hair washing. Text reminders for appointments are useful. Products are available to buy which come in non-plastic packaging. I am unable to offer a judgement on their prices due to never having been to any other town salon.

I really like this salon. I have had my hair done by two of the stylists - Bryony and Emma - and I have never been disappointed. I always feel like I am given time to say what I am after and then they work with you to offer suggestions and advise. Even styling my hair they talk you through it so you can recreate it at home.

My second visit to the Loughborough salon, both Eden and Fran are such lovely people and I left looking a million times better than when I walked in.
I had my hair cut today by Fran in the Loughborough salon, it was the first time I've ever been to a Bliss salon and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. My hair's never looked so healthy and I've had so many compliments already!

My first time with Sarah but she came highly recommended - she has a lovely,warm manner and put me at ease instantly. We had a good chat about what I wanted doing and what would be best for my hair and face shape etc. I got a lovely head massage while my hair was being washed and Sarah finished me off with some curls as she knew I was going out this evening. She was happy to give tips on how to curl with straighteners and what products I might find helpful. A lovely way to spend an hour. I will be back. Thankyou

I've been going to Bliss in Sherwood for probably about 20 years and they've always been fabulous. I've never had a treatment, cut or colour that was less than perfect. They're all lovely, but I've been with Sarah for years and really look forward to my appointments and a good catch-up. The salon has a super relaxed vibe. A great choice whether you like traditional colours and styles, something completely wild, or anywhere in between. It's also great watching each generation of apprentices work their way up, they're great at growing their own talent. The whole team has frequent skills and training away days on new cutting and colouring techniques so stay well up to date. They are LGBTQ+ and disability friendly.

I came to Bliss today for my little bit of me-time - a cut and root/colour refresh. Sarah gave me a consultation, plan of action, top quality hair colour products, a lovely head message with my rinse followed by an expert cut and stylish finish. The salon is always clean and has a friendly atmosphere. There’s also lots of art throughout the salon which is lovely to look at. So a professional and friendly service - plus it’s practically on my doorstep.

Olivia created a truly amazing hair style and colour for me which resulted in many beautiful comments. Before this picture (below) my hair was dry, dull, brittle, straggly, boring and a 'mess' ! Not a local, but was attending a wedding in the area and booked at SB to get an up-do on the big day, around the hairband that I planned to wear. Was hoping for the best but had no idea really what to expect: all I can say is that if you are looking for wedding hair anywhere in the Loughborough area, don't hesitate to book at Sister Bliss and ask for Sarah! Very friendly and professional service, she called me beforehand at my request to chat over what I was hoping for, and on the day listened very carefully to what I wanted and achieved it quickly and beautifully. I obviously wanted it to last, so told her to go all out with the Elnette, but in fact it felt as soft as it looked, and was comfortable till 1am, whilst staying very much put. Got lots of compliments, and felt great; thank you very much Sarah!

I first visited the salon back in March and had the most incredible haircut from Maya. I wanted bangs for the first time and I asked for soft round bangs with lots of shaping around my face. She listened to exactly what I wanted and I came out feeling so happy and confident. I made another appointment and was told that Maya no longer worked at the salon so I was booked in with another stylist. I just wanted my bangs trimmed and hair around my face shaped and I explained I wanted long pieces at the front as I liked to have some hair down when I put my hair up in a ponytail. Unfortunately, the hair cut looked very blunt and boxy , I did ask for more shaping at the front which she did, but it didn't make it any nicer. At that point I just didn't want more hair cutting off so I just wanted to leave. Update 21/05/2024: Bliss booked me in for a free appointment to fix my haircut. I just want to say a massive thank you to Sarah who did a wonderful job and made me comfortable and looked after. I really appreciate them taking the time to fix it.
She was amazing as always, made sure I was fully happy with my cut and was able to have a really nice conversation 🙂
Had my hair cut this afternoon by Natasha for her apprenticeship practice. I just want to say what an absolutely fantastic job she did from start to finish she was so careful and thorough and pleasant, responding to feedback as she was given it from the lovely lady watching her progress and following any advice given to the letter. She gave me a beautiful new bob and a really relaxing experience. She's an absolute credit to you and is already/ will be an absolutely fantastic hairdresser. I wouldn't hesitate to have my hair cut by her again.

I came to see Sarah who is helping me fix a dodgy haircut I had received from elsewhere. Sarah listened to my concerns and worked with me to decide on a best, workable solution to my hair problem. It is a work in progress, but the haircut she gave me I am very pleased with. I will return and stay with Sarah for a long time to come 😃
Had my colour updated by Sarah just over a week ago, I really love it, my son said it had taken 15 years off me, what a compliment. She managed to match my old coloured blond hair to my original caramel blond colour perfectly. Many thanks after 14 months on lockdown I feel more human again .

Been twice now, Dani does a great job with my long, thick wavy hair. It's hard to find someone who can cut curly/wavy hair, without the triangle or Christmas tree layers! Very relaxing head massage, and is happy to let me relax and enjoy my salon time without an interview about my holiday plans. Lovely! Will be back.

Everyone is so welcoming, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. The hairdressers are very good, you get a good consultation, they have a lot of knowledge about what will work well with your hair and can give good input. Very relaxing head massage when having your hair washed.

I walked in with tired dry hair and left with beautiful replenished hair, whilst I was there I received a cut and blow dry with a product called olaplex which I highly recommend, my hair look 10 times better in thickness and quality. Have been for a new 'do' today at Bliss in Sherwood and I really couldn't be happier! I wanted to extend my bob for months and had dyed my hair half to death as well (sorry hair)...I met with Susannah for a hair consultation and last week and was extremely impressed with the professional advice given in regards to the look I wanted and how much I could expect the service to cost. I've just come back from my appointment today and my hair looks amazing, I never thought extensions could look so natural! I swished my hair all the way home. All the staff were so helpful and knowledgable, they made me feel right at home, gave me great advice on how to look after my extensions at home and even recommended products I could buy to keep them looking silky. I will be returning time and again to this salon and recommending them to anyone that will listen! Thank you again Susannah, Bryonie, Darcy and Sarah! X

This was a consultation visit for a young friend of mine. Abbie was amazing. She put my young friend at ease, explained everything ready for her appointment. She went through what were definite no’s, what are favourites and did strand and patch tests. My young friend wanted a ‘blind’ colour and cut, after seeing mine, it’s to be her birthday treat. If I could give Abbey 6 stars, I would! Best haircut I’ve ever had. She was a total professional and great listener who gave me exactly the cut I asked for, but made it look better than I had ever imagined. I’ve always felt self-conscious about my limp fine hair but I am truly so so happy with how it looks now.

Having had a really bad experience that seriously affected my mental health the day before my appointment, I nearly cancelled. I am so glad I didn’t. Abbie and the girls realised how fragile I was and treated me so gently and with such love and kindness, it made my life better. Not only that but, as always, Abbie pulled off her magic with my hair. I visited the salon today after having such a careful and thorough consultation with Liz about my colour and cut, and I honestly couldn’t be happier! I used to come to the salon regularly before having my little ones, but over the years I’d started using semi-permanent hair dyes at home while my children were very young. I was desperate to lighten my hair, but was also apprehensive about whether this would now be possible. Liz explained everything so clearly and honestly, and made me feel confident and so excited about my colour journey. We’ve started the lightening process today, and I honestly can’t believe how healthy my hair feels! Liz is an absolute miracle worker. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, reassuring and cares so much about getting the best results while keeping your hair super healthy. I’m so excited to continue my colour journey with her and couldn’t recommend Liz and the salon enough 🩷

10/10 service! Absolutely loved my experience with Ruby! I went in without any reference picture, just an idea in my head, and she understood exactly what I wanted. She kept the length of my long hair while giving it such a lovely shape and style, exactly how I had imagined it! She also recommended some great products and gave really helpful advice. Yesterday I. Visited Bliss hairdressing salon in Sherwood Nottingham. I asked Tia for a short style as I am 83 and find a shorter style is easier to manage. I was blown away by the result. Tia was lovely. She is obviously new and an apprentice hence you pay less for your appointment. But… I think actually that’s a good thing!! 🥰 she was really attentive to what I wanted from the cut, listened and discussed how to dry my hair and sought support and opinions from another stylist when needed. After coming to her for the first time to fix my badly bleached with different shades and bleach lines everywhere a week before my wedding it’s been the perfect very light blonde hair ever since. Ok, I have to say this! Just been to bliss in Nottingham and I am SO pleased! First of all, I havent been to a hair salon in over 6 years, I am super attached to my hair and I let Lucie know straight away that I might cry if I didnt like it (no joke, it happened before!) She was not only extremely patient and sweet while I asked over and over again if she was positive I wasn't gonna go blonde or bald or anything like that, but she made some magic happen as well. My hair looks and feels amazing and I will come back for sure. She healed my hair salon trauma and made me feel special. Thanks a LOT Lucie! Whoever is in charge of the payroll... This was a consultation visit for a young friend of mine. Abbie was amazing. She put my young friend at ease, explained everything ready for her appointment. She went through what were definite no’s, what are favourites and did strand and patch tests. My young friend wanted a ‘blind’ colour and cut, after seeing mine, it’s to be her birthday treat. After meeting Abbie, she now has complete trust and faith in her, just like me. Thanks Abbie.
If I could give Abbey 6 stars, I would! Best haircut I’ve ever had. She was a total professional and great listener who gave me exactly the cut I asked for, but made it look better than I had ever imagined. I’ve always felt self-conscious about my limp fine hair but I am truly so so happy with how it looks now.

Honestly one of the nicest salon experiences ever. From start to finish I felt welcomed and looked after. Abbey did such a great job of my hair and was friendly, warm and professional throughout. My hair was washed with care and I was told what was happening throughout. The salon is air conditioned which is a bonus in the hot weather. I will go back here time and again for a great experience

Having had a really bad experience that seriously affected my mental health the day before my appointment, I nearly cancelled. I am so glad I didn’t. Abbie and the girls realised how fragile I was and treated me so gently and with such love and kindness, it made my life better. Not only that but, as always, Abbie pulled off her magic with my hair. She understood what I wanted and produced the most amazing, perfect result, assisted by the rest of the team. I think this is the best colour we’ve done yet. I absolutely love it, my Autumn Glory. My old hairdresser cut and taught me to style my short hair and I was a bit nervous to have a new hair dresser. I cannot sing Abbey's praises enough. She listened to me try and explain what my old hair dresser used to do. Not only did she repeat it, she made my hair look incredible. She knew EXACTLY how to style naturally curly hair and it was a wonderful experience. I love the haircut I walked away with and I cannot thank this new hair stylist enough. Thank you for everything.

Hi Emile, Thanks again for today. The consultation was very helpful and helped me make my mind up to move forward with buying a system. I did want to mention a bit of an issue on my way out, though. Our appointment ran a little late starting—no big deal on my end—but the friend picking up one of your salon workers clearly wasn't a fan of waiting. He deliberately blocked my way out of the car park, accused me of holding the place up, and proceeded to call me a puff for visiting a salon. He then went on to rev his engine and play music loudly. Im not sure if one of your members of staff were messaging him directly whilst waiting. I know you can't police who comes to pick up your staff, but leaving a salon to that kind of reception isn't ideal, and it’s made me rethink things a bit. I figured I’d let you know so you can have a word with the team before their lift home gives another client a welcoming committee like that. They might want to re-think who their friends are..

Emilie is fantastic and so are all the staff at Bliss honestly but Ive mostly had Emilie for the 5 years I have been going. As someone who is quite nervous about having length chopped off I really appreciate that Emilie talks you through what she is doing and why as well as being honest with how much length I need off to keep it healthy, which it certainly has been since Ive been at Bliss. I am also always so impressed how quickly she can look and get the idea of the inspiration pictures then translate it to what it would mean for my hair - feels like magic to me. Overall, it is clear that she is highly skilled, a great place for alternative people and a friendly cool environment. If youre thinking about booking just do it! Thanks Emilie, see you soon!

Emelie is just wonderful - she always leaves me looking and feeling lovely. I went in yesterday to be a model for a trainee stylist and had the best experience! I felt so welcomed and comfortable the entire time. My stylist was lovely and so was the supervising stylist! I definitely don’t have the easiest hair to deal with, it’s very thick and naturally wavy and was so blocky after growing out a pixie cut for 8 months but i was soo happy with the end result! I still can’t believe I got such an amazing hair cut for free! I would definitely recommend this salon, especially on training days as they say they struggle to get models in for free haircuts. I will definitely be going back! 🥰

As a young trans and gay person I felt instantly welcomed and comfortable by the friendly staff 🙂 Abbie did an amazing job at cutting and styling my hair, and did provided a really good consultation, helping me find the style that was right for me (rather than giving me a haircut that fits more with my biological sex, which is an issue i’ve had with other salons in the past) and there was no judgement at all. By far the best salon experience I have had, if you are part of the lgbtq+ community and are looking for a place that will listen to you, respect you and also give you a very cool haircut I would definitely recommend here!!💞

I had been to a different hair salon before who had basically buggered up my hair and I was really nervous about going to a another different salon. I was rather nervous about getting my long hair cut and had actually avoided it for over 7 years due to my nerves and some negative past experiences elsewhere. She took the time to talk through what she was doing and she was very gentle with me. She was also extremely careful of my new ear piercing being sure not to catch it at all. Great salon. Emma is brilliant - particularly taking care of my son who has autism and making sure he's comfortable and talking him through what she's doing. Can be pricey but I do think worth it for great service.
Emma makes my hair purple and that makes me happy. So relaxing, last time I went I fell asleep whilst my hair dye was setting.

10/10 service! Absolutely loved my experience with Ruby! I went in without any reference picture, just an idea in my head, and she understood exactly what I wanted. She kept the length of my long hair while giving it such a lovely shape and style, exactly how I had imagined it! She also recommended some great products and gave really helpful advice. The whole team was so welcoming, professional and genuinely listened to what I wanted rather than just doing the usual cut. I visited the salon today after having such a careful and thorough consultation with Liz about my colour and cut, and I honestly couldn’t be happier! I used to come to the salon regularly before having my little ones, but over the years I’d started using semi-permanent hair dyes at home while my children were very young. I was desperate to lighten my hair, but was also apprehensive about whether this would now be possible. Liz explained everything so clearly and honestly, and made me feel confident and so excited about my colour journey. We’ve started the lightening process today, and I honestly can’t believe how healthy my hair feels! Liz is an absolute miracle worker. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, reassuring and cares so much about getting the best results while keeping your hair super healthy. I’m so excited to continue my colour journey with her and couldn’t recommend Liz and the salon enough 🩷
