So, what are the hot trends for 2015?

Messy Waves and Curls

Great news for 2015!  Messy waves and curls are in… so if you want to just roll out of bed and run your hands through your hair, now is the time to do it!  Of course, it’s never quite that easy.  Your hair will only look its best if it’s been well cut.  You also need to apply the right products and, perhaps, some gentle waves to achieve the looks here.  Work with your hair’s natural texture and volume for a hairstyle that looks casual, natural and a little bit messy.  If you have naturally curly hair, enjoy the volume that comes with wavy hair and embrace your curls.

Short Hair Cuts with a Difference

Short hair was one of the hottest trends for 2014 and continues to reign supreme in 2015.  Ask for a blunt short bob and then use the right hair products to give it some texture and movement.  We love Coco Rocha’s short blunt bob which is softened by being less ‘styled’.  Emma Watson gets it 100% right with her cool, messy short cut too.  Pixie crops and quiffed hairstyles are also going to be key styles – but make sure you add a splash of colour if you really want to stand out from the crowd.

Feathered Fringes from the 1970s

Fashion and music from the 1970s will be the inspiration for hairstyles in 2015.  Think Brigitte Bardot during her heyday.  Ask for a feathered fringe that is tapered at the sides and you can wear your hair long, mid-length or short but just make it look a little ‘messy’.

Braids, Plaits & Ponytails in 2015

Have fun with braids, plaits and ponytails in 2015!  Try plaits on top of plaits by wrapping two sections either side around a central plait.  Pull out some strands for a tousled look, or opt for a low side parting and plait your hair to one side.  Try winding your plait into a bun and pinning it low at the nape of your neck or, if you fancy a ponytail, why not use several bands all along the length of your hair for a fun and striking look

Subtle Blondes & Striking Red Hair Colours in 2015

When it comes to hair colour for 2015 we predict that the ombre and balayage fashions will go from strength to strength.  We may see a move towards more subtle blonde colours – ‘babylights’ – which will add a touch of blonde to frame the face and ends of the hair.

Red hair colour will also be a strong trend.  If you’re feeling bold we can create the most incredible, intense red hair colours – or if you’re after a striking but more subtle look, ask us to add some bright red highlights to lift your hair colour and style.

Men’s Hair Trends for 2015

Men are paying more attention to their hair than ever before so don’t get stuck in a rut with your hairstyle. Change it up every now and then by creating subtle changes to your style.  Try a low side parting or run some texturising products through your hair for a cool, messed-up look.  Quiffs remain firm favourites for 2015 and can be worn slicked back and smart or casual and a bit messy – depending on the look you want to achieve.

Long hair for men is making a comeback but it has to be neat, tidy and clean.  Don’t shy away from tying your hair back either if you want a more professional look – but opt for a top knot.  Beards continue to divide opinion but there is no doubt that a well maintained beard is a strong trend for 2015.
