Little Princess Trust Charity Event at Bliss Hair Salons in Nottingham & Loughborough
At Bliss Hair Salons in Nottingham & Loughborough, we are committed to helping different charities wherever we can. In February, our Nottingham stylist Sam, who is on maternity leave until June, returned to take part in a charity event for the Little Princess Trust at our Nottingham Salon.
Two very kind ladies were donating hair that they had grown to the Little Princess Trust, who raise funds to provide free real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss, and fund vital research into childhood cancers. Whilst Sam carefully cut & preserved their hair ready for donation, we asked them a few questions about their fundraising efforts……

Have you done a charity event like this before?
No, this is the first time
What made you decide to take part in this event for The Little Princess Trust?
I have been wanting to have a big hair cut for some time but, rather than letting my hair go to waste, I wanted it to go to a good cause.
Then when my 4 year old niece said she was donating hers to The Little Princess Trust I knew that now was the time and we decided to set up a fund raising page.
How much money have you raised so far/in total?
We have raised £455 together so far.
What would you say to people who are also thinking about supporting charities in a similar way?
I would tell people to absolutely go for it! I was initially anxious about such a big haircut but we had such a relaxed, fun day at Bliss!
Raising the money and donating the hair is a great achievement for both of us and will hopefully make a positive difference to a young person whose choice to lose their hair was taken from them.

I’m getting my hair cut to give to the poorly children who don’t have any hair.
Have you done a charity event like this before?
No, I’ve never done anything before.
What made you decide to take part in this cause?
Because I have loads of hair and wanted to give some to poorly children.
How much money have you raised so far/in total?
I have raised £455 so far together with my Auntie Emma.
